iOS Connection Guide
Connect your iOS phone or Wearable device to the Core Direction app to collect step points and active heart rate points.
Connect your iPhone with Apple Health
If you don't have a wearable device you can connect your iOS Device to Core Direction through Apple Health.
Step 1: Click on "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu.
Step 2: Allow all permissions to Apple Health
Step 3: Once allowed, the Core Direction app will sync with your Apple Health step counter to count your daily steps.
Connect your iPhone with Google Fit
If you don't have a wearable device you can connect your Android phone to Core Direction through Google Fit.

Step 1: Click on "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu.
Step 2: Select Google Fit.
Step 3: Log in to your Google Fit account
Step 4: Confirm the connection by checking if the steps in Google Fit & Core Direction are the same.
*Please Note - Use the same Google account to log into Google Fit app & Core Direction App to complete the connection successfully.
Connect a Wearable
Choose your wearable below and follow the guide to connect it to the Core Direction app and start collecting Step & Heart rate points!
Apple Watch
For Apple watch users, your watch will already be synchronized with Apple Health after you complete the setup of the watch.
Therefore once permissions are allowed you should also be able to start collecting Active Heart Rate points & Steps. To see how Heart Rate points are calculated click here.
Fitbit
Log into your Fitbit account through the "Core Direction" app to connect your account.
Step 1: Click on "Connect device" in the "Core Direction" App
Step 2: Select Fitbit
Step 3: Log in to your Fitbit account through Core Direction
Garmin
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Connect "Garmin Connect" to "Apple health"
- Open up the Apple Health app and navigate to settings
- Choose Apps
- Select Garmin Connect
- Allow permissions for all data
Samsung Watch
Samsung Galaxy 4 watch and above are not compatible with iOS
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Connect "Samsung Health" to "Apple Health"
- Open up the Apple Health app and navigate to settings
- Choose Apps
- Select Samsung Health
- Allow permissions for all data
Oura Ring
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Connect "Oura app" to "Apple Health"
- Open up the Apple Health app and navigate to settings
- Choose Apps
- Select Oura
- Allow permissions for all data
Huawei
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Connect "Huawei Health" to "Apple Health"
- Open up the Apple Health app and navigate to settings
- Choose Apps
- Select Huawei Health
- Allow permissions for all data
Amazfit
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Connect "Zepp App" to "Apple Health"
- Open up the Apple Health app and navigate to settings
- Choose Apps
- Select Zepp App
- Allow permissions for all data
Xiaomi Mi Band
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Connect "Zepp App" to "Apple Health"
- Open up the Apple Health app and navigate to settings
- Choose Apps
- Select Zepp App
- Allow permissions for all data
Polar
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Open the "Polar Beat" app
- Go to Settings and tap Apple Health.
- Tap Connect to establish the connection.
- Allow Polar Beat access to write data within the Health app. Toggle the buttons to the right as in the picture below and tap Allow:
Suunto
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Open the Suunto App
- Click on the 'Profile' icon, and then click 'Settings'
- Toggle 'Save to Apple Health' on.
- Open ‘Apple Health> Profile> Apps’ and click ‘Suunto’.
- Toggle ‘ON’ for all categories.
- *Please open both the ‘Suunto’ and ‘Apple Health’ apps once daily for data transmission.
Withings
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Open the Withings App
- Tap Profile.
- Scroll down to Health and tap Activate.
- Select the data you want to share with Apple Health.
- If you notice that Withings App and Apple Health are not synced anymore, please go to Apple Health > Sources > Withings App and enable the data transfer if needed.
WHOOP
Step 1: Click "Connect Wearable" in the Core Direction app menu and connect to "Apple Health"
Step 2: Connect "WHOOP" to "Apple Health"
- Open up the Apple Health app and navigate to settings
- Choose Apps
- Select WHOOP
- Allow permissions for all data
Coros
In order to receive daily and training data collected from the COROS app to your Apple Health app, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Go to the COROS app > Profile page > Setting > 3rd Party Apps > Apple Health
Step 2: A page with settings will show up and you can select the desired data types to be synced to Apple Health.
Step 3: You can re-edit the data type options in the Apple Health app listed below.
- Access your profile via the top right corner.
- Locate "Privacy" and then tap on "Apps".
- Select "COROS" and enable supported data types.
- Cycling Distance
- Heart Rate
- Sleep Analysis
- Steps
- Swimming Distance
- Walking + Running Distance
If you are on the Connect page of the COROS app and the status circle never stops spinning, please follow the steps to fix this issue on your iPhone.
- Settings > Screen Time > Content and Privacy Restrictions > Enable Content and Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > Enable Safari.
